„World Cafè: Why do I jump?“ – Perception and Understanding of Otherability
Participative seminar conducted byH. Barbana IT (Sop Fvg) + Prof.ssa Teresa Farroni + Dott.ssa Daniele Krainer – 11.00-13.00
Where does the idea of the world cafè start from?
Children and youngsters who suffer from specific learning disorders have so many capacities, talents, skills and faculties in several fields. According to the principle of integration/inclusion and equal education chances for all children, as each child is intelligent, each one in his/her way, each one has the right to a manifold, versatile
and above all, flexible focused pedagogical offer. If we target our pedagogical offer according to the distribution of the perception, processing and action faculties, skills and abilities of the pupils/students, we can bring out not only a positive learning experience but …. even more: we can empower their learning potential as their weakness zones will naturally, almost spontaneously, regenerate and let come out new resources. They will not only regain self-esteem, self-confidence, a different self-image, more, but they will also develop an individual and at the same time social self-reliance as they will activate in themselves, in the others, in the group new mental, emotional and personal connections, new ways of communication, metaphorically said, new rivers, new bridges, new roads, new highways for information, for the acquisition of skills, for the development of abilities, for the unfolding of their potential faculties.
The book
The Reason I Jump, written by Naoki Higashida at the age of thirteen, is a book that opens a rare and precious window into the inner world of non‑verbal autistic people. Through a series of questions and answers, the author guides us into his perceptions, his emotions, and the daily challenges of communicating what he feels.
Presenting this book means proposing a shift in perspective: not asking “What is wrong here?”, but “What is this person trying to communicate to us?”. It is an invitation to listen, to be patient, and to cultivate a deeper form of empathy.
Let’s look at others in a different way!!! – Antonia Breckner Machac – 11.00-13.00
The workshop provides a concise overview of how the brain, language, movement and emotions interact, and how adults can support children in everyday life through age‑appropriate communication, clear routines and body‑based activities. It introduces children’s basic needs, everyday movement patterns, the role of music and rhythm, and simple techniques for calming and self‑regulation. The session concludes by integrating all topics and, depending on the group, offering practical exercises.

Walks in Nature with the Associazione E. Rosmann – Alice Sattolo + Nicola Carbone – 13.00-17.00
The “Eugenio Rosmann” Environmental Association was founded in 1975 as the Monfalcone branch of the WWF; in 1999 it became an independent organization as the local territorial structure of WWF Italia for the Province of Gorizia, dedicated to the memory of the environmental activist Eugenio Rosmann, and since 2015 it has operated under its current name. The Association works to protect and enhance local natural systems—Karst areas, the Lagoon, the Collio, rivers, and wetlands—promoting sustainable lifestyles, monitoring urban development, and opposing land consumption through a science-based approach. It is active in environmental education in schools and collaborates with the CAI di Monfalcone in managing the Lago di Pietrarossa Visitor Centre, organizing excursions and educational activities; together with the Università di Trieste and the Università di Udine, it also promotes the “Populus Alba” Award for environmentally virtuous public administrations and a prize for university theses in the field of environmental studies.

„World Cafè: Why do I jump?“ – Percezione e comprensione dell’“Otherability”
Incontro partecipativo condotto da H. Barbana (IT, SOP FVG) + Prof.ssa Teresa Farroni + Dott.ssa Daniele Krainer – 11.00-13.00

Walks in the Nature con Associazione E. Rosmann – Alice Sattolo + Nicola Carbone – 13.00-17.00

„World Café: Why do I jump?“ – Wahrnehmung und Verständnis von Otherability
Partizipatives Seminar geleitet von H. Barbana IT (Sop FVG) + Prof.ssa Teresa Farroni + Dott.ssa Daniele Krainer – 11.00-13.00

»World Café: Why do I jump?« – Percepcija in Razumevanje Otherability
Participativni seminar, ki ga vodi – H. Barbana IT (Sop FVG) + Prof.ssa Teresa Farroni +Dott.ssa Daniele Krainer – 11.00-13.00
Skozi niz vprašanj in odgovorov nas avtor popelje v svoje zaznave, svoja čustva in vsakodnevne težave pri izražanju tega, kar čuti.
To je povabilo k poslušanju, potrpežljivosti in globlji obliki empatije.
Poglejmo druge na drugačen način!!! – Antonia Breckner Machac – 11.00-13.00

Sprehodi v naravi z združenjem Associazione E. Rosmann – Alice Sattolo + Nicola Carbone – 13.00-17.00

Imagine a place….Expiriencing Supportive Environments – L. Wohofsky + D. Krainer – 11.00-13.00
The workshop provides a concise introduction to designing inclusive living environments and the principles of Universal Design. Participants will also see a demonstration and practical testing of a smart home system from the BeSeNSHome project. Building on this foundation, participants will work in small, creative groups to develop practical scenarios using a guideline for inclusive living environments. Finally, the developed ideas will be presented and discussed together.

„How do we learn?“ Seminar: UD for a better learning led S. Colluccelli – 11.00-13.00
workshops for parents and teenagers
The workshop explores the fundamental principles of childhood learning, focusing on the role of the environment, sensory experience, and autonomy. Based on the idea that the child builds knowledge through action rather than passive listening, the program demonstrates how a prepared environment, filled with meaningful and accessible materials, fosters curiosity, inner motivation, and the ability to concentrate. The adult acts as a discreet guide: offering only the necessary help so that the child can act independently, developing confidence, responsibility, and awareness of their own processes.
Furthermore, the workshop delves into the importance of sensory experience and the role of the hand as a tool for relating to the environment, presenting materials that invite independent discovery and self-correction. Through activities that stimulate observation, free choice, and the control of error, the child learns to recognize their own progress and identify areas for improvement. The journey concludes with an integrated vision of knowledge that moves beyond disciplinary fragmentation, inviting the reconstruction of the world into a complex and meaningful framework, in line with European educational perspectives oriented towards inclusion, active participation, and the global development of the person.

UD Perception Sound Playground – Emanuele Pertoldo – 11.00-13.00
The Sound Playground workshop is an experiential journey in which the group, arranged in a circle, explores sound, music, and silence through listening games, movement, and imagination. After a short introduction and personal presentation, participants enter bodily work with sound‑breath and small vocalisations to express how they feel. The group reflects together on the meaning of sound, music, and silence, then moves on to perception games: recognising everyday sounds, transforming a sheet of paper into an instrument, or passing it around without making noise.
Listening to the soundscape with closed eyes guides participants from distant sounds to internal ones, followed by a moment of sharing the sensations that emerged. The activity continues with the graphic transposition of sounds and the reverse exercise, in which participants “play” each other’s drawings. After a break, the group explores the dry tree placed at the centre of the circle as an amplified instrument, first individually and then in a collective jam using voice, objects, and small instruments, coordinated by a silent conductor.
The workshop closes with “storm and calm”, a jam that grows and then gradually fades into final silence, followed by one minute of still listening and a final sharing on what has changed internally during the experience.

Walks in Nature with the Associazione E. Rosmann – Alice Sattolo + Nicoletta Perco – 14.00-16.00
Kayak in Wonderland – 14.00-16.00
Regarding the experience on the water, you will always be assisted by the guide during boarding and disembarking. It is normal to get a few splashes while paddling; for this reason, if the temperatures are still cool (as in early spring), we suggest bringing a light k-way with you. In the presence of waves, you might get a bit wetter when getting in or out of the kayak. Don’t worry about stability, though: our kayaks are very safe and it is almost impossible to capsize, thanks to the low center of gravity that ensures excellent balance on the water.
There is no need to have your own equipment: the guide will provide everything you need, including the kayak, paddle, spray deck, and life jacket. The activity is open to teenagers aged 15 and up who know how to swim, given the height and physical strength required; to evaluate specific cases, you can write to alicesattolo@gmail.com. And what about dogs? They are welcome only if… they know how to paddle by themselves!
How should I dress? Comfortable t-shirt or comfortable long-sleeved shirt. Lightweight waterproof jacket (k-way type) in case of cool temperatures. Closed-toe sandals, water shoes, or comfortable sneakers (preferably not high-value ones). Swimsuit and beach towel.
What should I bring with me? A full change of clothes (you can leave it in the car). Sunscreen. Mosquito repellent. A hat.

„How do we learn?“ Seminar: UD for a better learning led S. Colluccelli – 11.00-13.00
workshops for parents and teenagers

UD Perception Sound Playground – Emanuele Pertoldo – 11.00-13.00

E i cani?
Come mi vesto? Maglietta comoda o maglia a maniche lunghe confortevole. Giacchetta impermeabile tipo k-way leggero in caso di temperature fresche.

„How do we learn?“ Seminar: UD for a better learning led S. Colluccelli – 11.00-13.00
workshops for parents and teenagers

UD Perception Sound Playground – Emanuele Pertoldo – 11.00-13.00

Kayak in Wonderland – 14.00-16.00
Leichte Regenjacke (K-Way) für kühlere Temperaturen.
Sonnencreme. Mückenschutz. Eine Kopfbedeckung (Cap oder Hut).

Imagine a place….Expiriencing Supportive Environments – L. Wohofsky + D. Krainer – 11.00-13.00
Delavnica ponuja kratek uvod v načrtovanje vključujočih bivalnih okolij in načela univerzalnega oblikovanja (Universal Design). Na koncu bodo razvite ideje predstavljene in skupaj obravnavane.

„How do we learn?“ Seminar: UD for a better learning led S. Colluccelli – 11.00-13.00
workshops for parents and teenagers

UD Perception Sound Playground – Emanuele Pertoldo – 11.00-13.00
Delavnica Sound Playground je izkustvena pot, v kateri skupina, razporejena v krogu, raziskuje zvok, glasbo in tišino skozi igre poslušanja, gibanja in domišljije. Po kratkem uvodu in osebni predstavitvi udeleženci vstopijo v telesno delo z zvočnim dihom in z majhnimi vokalizacijami, s katerimi izrazijo svoje počutje.

Sprehodi v naravi z združenjem Associazione E. Rosmann – Alice Sattolo + Nicoletta Perco 14.00-16.00

Kayak in Wonderland – 14.00-16.00
Lastna oprema ni potrebna: vodnik vam bo zagotovil vse, kar potrebujete, torej kajak, veslo, krovnico in rešilni jopič. Dobrodošli so le, če… znajo veslati sami!
Kako se oblečem? Udobna majica s kratkimi ali dolgimi rokavi. Lahka vetrovka (k-way) v primeru svežih temperatur. Kopalke in brisača.
Kaj vzamem s seboj? Rezervna oblačila (lahko jih pustite v avtu). Krema za sončenje. Sredstvo proti komarjem. Kapa.

Workshop: The Power of Music
Music is a force that touches people directly. Beyond its cultural expressions across different societies, music functions as a language independent of words, capable of reaching individuals on an immediate emotional level.
This workshop explores the possibilities offered by musical traditions from Central Asia and the Middle East, and how they can open direct experiential pathways for individuals, regardless of their cultural background.
Facilitators:
Gernot Galib Stanfel, music therapist and university lecturer, with the assistance of Friderica Wächter Stanfel, life and social counsellor and academic painter, and Nükhet Stanfel, musician.

Traditional music with the Rahmi Oruç Tekke ensemble
Gernot Galib Stanfel has been playing music since he was a child. Since starting his training as a music therapist in the field of ancient Oriental music therapy in 1989, he has turned to the music of the Near East, with a particular focus on Turkish-Ottoman music, Central Asian music, and the Silk Road. In 2005, he founded the ensemble Bard Allah, through which he combines the musical styles that have influenced him with Islamic spirituality in his own compositions. Currently, he performs in the Rahmi Oruç Tekke ensemble together with Frederica Waechter-Stanfel and Nükhet Stanfel, performing various pieces of Sufi music from Turkey, the Silk Road, and Islamic/Sufi music, including songs in German.
The group will perform the following traditional music pieces:
Semavir (music from Tatarstan)
Akbulak (music from Kazakhstan)
Baksidance (Sema from Kazakhstan)
Amed Nesimi (Abdilkadir Meragi, Persian classical music)
Pir divaninda (music from Turkey)
Istanbula na Bosporu (Bosnia) – Sema of the Mevlevi tradition

WALL OF IDEAS – Marco Bettoni
Workshop WALL OF IDEAS uses the OSG method which, starting from sharing a socialising space in a psychologically safe environment, stimulates the participants to activate their own ideas, share them, explore them, combine them with those of others and finally collect them on a large common “wall of ideas”. Interpreters will be available to help participants translate their ideas into English.

Amed Nesimi (Abdilkadir Meragi, musica classica persiana)
Pir divaninda (musica della Turchia)

WALL OF IDEAS – Marco Bettoni

Vodenje:
Gernot Galib Stanfel, glasbeni terapevt in visokošolski predavatelj, ob podpori Friderice Wächter Stanfel, svetovalke za življenje in socialo ter akademske slikarke, in Nükhet Stanfel, glasbenice.

Tradicionalna glasba z zasedbo Rahmi Oruç Tekke
Skupina bo izvedla naslednje skladbe tradicionalne glasbe:
Semavir (glasba iz Tatarstana)
Akbulak (glasba iz Kazahstana)
Baksidance (Sema iz Kazakstana)
Amed Nesimi (Abdilkadir Meragi, perzijska klasična glasba)

WALL OF IDEAS – Marco Bettoni

Perception of self, gender, and others – Francesca Ferah Dalla Bernardina
There’s a rhythm within each of us: a rhythm that’s sometimes strong, stable, and protective like a rock, and other times fluid, welcoming, and light like water. These are the energies of the Masculine and the Feminine, forces that belong to all of us, and that, from an early age, guide the way we move through the world.
During this workshop, we experience, through our bodies and sound, the strength and energy of the Masculine and the sweetness and fluidity of the Feminine. Through various experiences, we gradually create a space for encounter and union between these two archetypes, providing an opportunity for exploration, transformation, and observation.
What to bring: Comfortable clothing, socks, a scarf, a notebook with a pen or crayons, an object representing the masculine and an object representing the feminine, a mat, a water bottle.
There are no requirements of any kind to participate.

Tour of Villach – Discover the City Together

“Who are you? – Who am I?” – Birgit Hochreiter
“Who are you? – Who am I?” is an interactive workshop designed by Birgit Hochreiter (May 2026) to explore identity, diversity, and gender equality through creative dialogue and experiential activities.
The aim of the workshop is to help participants get to know one another more deeply, while also discovering new aspects of themselves. Rather than discussing diversity and gender equality only in theory, the workshop makes these themes tangible, allowing participants to experience them directly.
The session includes:
– an energizing introductory game
– a reflection on how we can be similar and different at the same time
– a four‑station interactive journey titled “Who are you really?”, exploring identity, perception, and personal blind spots
– a shared closing moment to integrate insights and experiences

“Who are you? – Who am I?” – Birgit Hochreiter
“Who are you? – Who am I?”

“Who are you? – Who am I?” – Birgit Hochreiter
„Who are you?

Zaznavanje sebe, spola in drugih – Francesca Ferah Dalla Bernardina
V vsakem izmed nas živi ritem: včasih močan, stabilen in zaščitniški kot skala, drugič tekoč, sprejemajoč in lahek kot voda. To sta energiji Moškega in Ženskega – sili, ki pripadata vsem nam in nas že od otroštva vodita skozi svet.
Na tej delavnici preko telesa in zvoka doživljamo moč in energijo Moškega ter nežnost in fluidnost Ženskega. Skozi različne izkušnje postopoma ustvarimo prostor srečanja in združevanja teh dveh arhetipov, kar omogoča raziskovanje, preobrazbo in opazovanje.

“Who are you? – Who am I?” – Birgit Hochreiter
“Who are you?

Tradition&Therapy – Bengüsu-gield
The bilingual film (German/English) “Tradition & Therapy” is a documentary that sheds light on the specificity of traditional art & therapy and its integration into a modern medical environment. The film tries to breathe new and multi-layered life into the term “tradition”. “Tradition” is not only what used to be or what was passed on to us by our ancestors. “Tradition” is the origin of the „ living“. Where this connection still exists, there lies the treasure, the diamond of a living tradition. The fruits of this are the traditional arts, traditional ways of life and the associated knowledge of the art of healing. In this form of “tradition” lies a special beauty, a special knowledge and a special healing and therapeutic potential. The film shows how important it is that authentically traditional ways remain alive and find and assert a place in modern science.
