Corrado Altran

I was born on 24th August 1962 in Monfalcone. I attended the University of Venice studying architecture and on 1992 I co-founded and worked for the Ecoistituto of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Udine, Italy, organizing conferences, congresses and advising local authorities and associations all over the Region.  From 1993 to 2001 I was Vice-Mayor of the Municipality of Monfalcone, then until 2006 municipal councilor. From 2007 to 2008 I was provincial chairman for the Green-Party. Alongside my political activity I dedicated myself to volunteering, participating in peace-keeping missions in R.D.Congo on 2001 and 2003, with the association “Beati i Costruttori di Pace”. On 2008 I started working as project manager with the association “Peace and Human Rights Tent” based in Staranzano (Italy), in educational international activities. I finally engaged myself with activities for peace and ecological education, i.e.: managing 23 international volunteer camps, several European twinning projects,  for the NGO Adriatic GreeNet, of which I became the president in 2014.
